|Pastor Pete Maldonado was born and raised in New York, NY, the son of Peter & Dolores Maldonado, one of five children. He graduated high school in 1983 and joined the United States Marine Corps. While in the Marine Corps he successfully served our nation and received an Honorable Discharge in 1990. After completing active duty he graduated college in 1992.
|Pastor Pete’s college life included succeeding as one of the NCAA wrestling champs. Upon completing college studies, he wrestled and coached internationally. Within his wrestling career he met and befriended Virginia Maldonado, now his wife. The couple married and moved to Springfield, Massachusetts where they were both employed in the social services field as probation officers. As a probation officer Pastor Pete’s passion became to help at-risk youth and families in the community.
Soon after Pete and Virginia married they began to attend the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Springfield, Massachusetts. They were both baptized late in the summer of 1997. Immediately, they began to work within different ministries in order to reach out to the youth and young adults.
In 2000 Pastor Pete and Virginia adopted their first child and later four more at-risk children. This decision to adopt continually brought Pastor Pete & Virginia into God’s plan for their lives and their family grew to seven members.
In 2004 Pastor Pete began pastoral ministry in the Southern New England conference in Lancaster, Massachusetts. he returned to school and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Religion and Personal ministries. He is now in the process of completing a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministries. Pastor Pete is presently participating in the Pennsylvania conference, in the Reading Hampden Heights & Fleetwood Seventh Day Adventist churches.
Pastor Pete’s greatest passion is to draw closer in relationship with Jesus Christ and guide as many people as possible to enjoy a personal relationship with the God who loves them.
